Sunday, May 24, 6:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., at the Solon Fire Station, 400 Windflower Lane.
All you can eat pancakes, eggs, sausage, and ham.
Adults $10, kids 5-12 $5, and kids under 5 eat free.

Iowa Brass to hold Memorial Day concert
Iowa Brass will be holding a free Memorial Day concert at the Bandstand in Downtown Solon Monday, May 25, at 10:30 am. This free performance will feature patriotic music to honor our nation’s heroes. Gather your family and friends, bring a blanket or lawn chair, and settle into the warm May weather to enjoy the sound of brass.

St. Mary Culture of Life Committee to host speaker
St. Mary Catholic Church’s Culture of Life Committee is hosting Mike Stein Thursday, May 28, to discuss his travels across the continent on water supply and quality, and water conditions in our state and county.
A light supper will be served at 6 p.m. and Stein will speak at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
Music on Mainstreet Concert Series returns
The annual Music on Mainstreet Concert Series returns Wednesday, June 3 as Jello Shots, featuring Dale and Scott Brumwell, take the stage in downtown Solon at 7 p.m. The series runs every Wednesday through August 12. The July 15 concert, featuring Solon native Alex Newkirk, will be held at Meadowlark Acres (Solon Senior Housing) due to Beef Days set-up.
