Submit a Letter to the Editor
The Solon Economist encourages letters to the editor. Letters may be submitted via email to [email protected] or the form below.
- Letters are published at the discretion of the Solon Economist.
- All letters must include the author’s street address and phone number for verification (the town is published; street numbers and phone numbers are not). Submission of a letter indicates the author’s permission for publication in the Solon Economist and on soloneconomist.com.
- When authors write in an official capacity — representing governmental bodies, organizations or businesses, for example — the institution is listed in the address line.
- Letters should not exceed 350 words and may be edited for clarity, length, style, and space limitations, including headlines.
- An author will not have two letters published within a 30-day period.
- In general, these letters are not accepted: “Thank-you” messages, letters that are not exclusive to the Solon Economist, letters copied from websites or other sources, letters of a commercial nature, most poetry, personal attacks, “open” letters directed to other parties, extensive biblical citations, and petitions.
