DES MOINES — The Solon Lady Spartans posted an 8th place finish each of the three days last weekend in the 2026 Iowa State Track Meet. Junior Jerzey Haluska had a hand in all three of the scoring events including the teams’ only individual scoring finish, an 8th place in the 400 meters clocking 58.47, a personal best on Thursday.
Solon’s sprint medley team of seniors Piper Stahle, Marin Ashbacker, freshman Tenley Levin and Haluska scratched out another point Friday clocking 1:49.93, good for 8th place. Haluska then claimed her third state medal in the 4×400 relay Saturday finishing in 8th place with a season best 4:01.31. Haluska teamed with Junior Ava Rowles, freshman Mailee Schmidt and freshman Tenley Levin.
Other Lady Spartan qualifiers included: Levin (long jump, 20th, 15-05.00), junior Falyn Svalstad (800 meter run, 24th, 2:33.26), junior Mya Fordice (400 hurdles, 18th, 1:09.44), freshman Elynn Hemann, senior Sofia Ortega, sophomore Reese Hahn and Schmidt (1600 medley relay, 20th, 4:22.99), Svalstad, sophomore Addison Seamans, Rowles, Fordice (4×800 meter relay, 13th, 9:49.15), Hemann, freshman Wren Brodersen, freshman Anabelle Boelkens, senior Trea Eidahl (shuttle hurdle relay, 14th (prelims), 1:09.38), Levin, Ashbacker, Stahle, Eidahl (4×200 meter relay, 14th, 1:45.42).
