From “America the Beautiful” to the theme to “Hawaii Five-O,” downtown Solon was awash with the sounds of Iowa Brass Monday morning. The free concert, following the annual Memorial Day ceremony down the street at Legion Park, kicked off the 2026 Music on Mainstreet concert series.

This year’s slate of shows is dedicated to Solon’s Scott Kleppe, who retired after nearly 30 years of service to the community.

Jello Shots, featuring Dale and Scott Brumwell, takes the stage Wednesday, June 3, at 7 p.m.
