The time-honored tradition of gowns, oxford caps, tassels, cords, Pomp and Circumstance, and speeches continued Sunday as the Solon Community School District conferred diplomas upon 125 seniors during the 2026 commencement (graduation) ceremony in Spartan Stadium.
Madisen Kleppe sang the national anthem and Salutatorians Chloe Benjamin, Piper Stahle, and Ashley Farnsworth were recognized along with all seniors who had earned colored cords for National Honor Society, at least 125 hours of community service, donating a gallon of blood, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout, serving as a Peer Leader, membership in Future Business Leaders of America, or serving as a Student School Board Representative. Seniors were also recognized for achieving honors (GPA 3.25-3.49), high honors (3.5-3.74), or highest honors (GPA 3.75-4.0).
Valedictorians Trea Eidahl, Reese Grimm, Dillon Ostrander, Layla Shipley, Cora Sutton, and Teague Williams were also recognized with remarks delivered by Eidahl, Grimm, Ostrander, and Shipley.
