MedSpa Solon, located on the ground floor of the Literary Hotel at 130 S. Dubuque St., Suite 106, is stepping into a new era guided by owners Michele and Frank Haege, whose vision blends professional expertise with a warm, community-centered approach to aesthetics.
Michele said she felt an immediate connection to MedSpa Solon and was excited about the opportunity to take ownership. The chance to serve a growing community, offer personalized care, and create a trusted space for clients was exactly the kind of work she wanted to be involved in.
“I come from a medical background in the sense that I’m a PA, so we just wanted to do medical grade services here,” Michele said. “So that’s kind of where the service menu is developed from, and then overall wellness is where we’re headed.”
Formally called Sashy, the med spa offers a range of treatments that continue to expand under Michele and Frank’s expertise. Services include Botox and filler injections, hydrating facials, and individualized skincare consultations. Red Light Therapy will be coming soon as well.
Michele says the goal is to give clients real results while prioritizing safety, comfort, and confidence at every step, while remaining budget friendly.
“I can say in good faith that everyone needs a little Botox somewhere,” Michele said, “Not because I’m trying to sell them, but because your face is what everybody sees, and you can make minimal improvements that make you look fresher and more awake and revived.” Michele explains that the average person has many misconceptions about Botox and spa treatments, but once they do it, they wonder why they did not start going sooner.
“They’re super expensive, and you have to buy a million things,” Michele said on common med spa misconceptions. “I feel like I read or hear all the time that people feel like they’re trying to sell, sell, sell. We don’t want to do that. We just want people to enjoy what they’re getting and make it affordable.”
Michele said she wants people to feel empowered rather than overwhelmed when thinking about aesthetics, and the atmosphere inside the med spa reflects that same philosophy. Clean, modern décor pairs with a calm and friendly environment that helps clients relax the moment they walk in.
In recent months, MedSpa Solon has hosted a variety of special events and promotional days, such as Ladies Night, product of the month, facial of the month, and National 11’s day, where clients could get 11 Botox units for free.
Michele said the community’s enthusiasm has been both motivating and humbling, and she is enjoying building her clientele in Solon, where she is originally from.
Looking ahead, MedSpa Solon plans to continue evolving. Michele and Frank are exploring new services, partnerships, and ways to bring more wellness-based offerings to Solon. Their goal is to build a med spa that feels both high-quality and deeply rooted in the Solon community.
“My wife always has fun coming down here [to work],” said Frank. “There’s camaraderie with the people she works with and camaraderie with the customers.”
“I think it’s so fun knowing almost everyone or being able to correlate who they are to whoever,” Michele said. “I think it’s fun in a small town to really get to know people.”
