Building Community, One Connection at a Time
At Solon Public Library, we believe that a strong community is built through kindness, connection, and a shared love of learning. The library is more than a place for books — it’s a place for people. Whether you’ve called Solon home for generations or just moved to town, you’ll always find a welcoming space here.
Every week, neighbors gather at the library to attend programs, meet new friends, and share ideas. From story times and book clubs to chair yoga and craft nights, these moments of connection remind us that we have more in common than we sometimes realize.
In times when it’s easy to feel divided, the library remains a place where everyone belongs — where we listen, learn, and grow together. When we open our doors to one another, we open the possibility for a kinder, stronger community.

What We’re Reading
The November selection for the Solon Book Club is Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir. This science fiction thriller is about Ryland Grace, a junior high science teacher who wakes up on a spaceship with amnesia. He discovers he is on a desperate, last-chance mission to save Earth from a solar-dimming alien microorganism called Astrophage. As his memory returns, he forms an unlikely partnership with an alien engineer from the 40 Eridani system, nicknamed Rocky, and together they must find a way to stop the Astrophage from causing an extinction-level event.
Visit the Library to check-out a copy of the book and join us Tuesday, November 18, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss.
