The Solon City Council will look different next year as residents voted for change in the 2025 City/School Election Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Incumbents Lauren Whitehead and Cole Gabriel lost their reelection bids as challengers Greg Morris, Matthew Macke, and Tim Gordon prevailed. Morris won a decisive victory with 444 votes followed by Macke (372) and Gordon (361) while Whitehead garnered 260 votes and Gabriel mustered 235.
There were 17 write-in votes among the 1,689 votes cast.
Unchallenged, school board incumbents reelected
Megan Laing (607 votes), Cassie Rochholz (588), and Tim Brown (570) retain their seats on the School Board of Directors while Dan Coons (660) will fill an at-large vacancy. All four ran unopposed on the ballot.
