Solo’s Parks and Recreation Department hosted the annual Monster Mash Trunk or Treat event Sunday at the Solon Recreation and Nature Area (SRNA). Hundreds of costume clad adults, children, and pets gathered to celebrate the spooky fall holiday.
Solon locals and visitors were able to paint pumpkins, create arts and crafts, and grab plenty of candy from the dozens of sponsored cars lined up in the SRNA parking lot. Large bounce houses were lined up in the grassy area beside the Timber Dome Lodge, and food trucks such as Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee, Boulevard Grill, and DeLovely’s Delicious Mini Donuts were parked nearby. The event was a fun family kick-off before Halloween this week, serving as a practice run for many fun costumes.
