As we near the start of holiday season and winter weather we remind our community to always check the Library’s website calendar for the latest changes to schedules. In November we’ll have quite a few big changes that are sure to throw us all off schedule!
Library Programs
Don’t miss the chance to test your skills against the monsters haunting the library at our escape room Wednesday, October 29. The Haunted Library Escape Room is intended for all-ages, registration is required. We’ll also have crafts and activities available for registered teams and walk-ins, from 3-6:30 p.m.
As we continue to enjoy the spooky season we’re having a Halloween Costume and Nerf Battle for Teens! There’s no reason to miss out on the Halloween fun. 6th-12th graders are invited to get dressed up and join us Friday, October 31, from 6-8:00 p.m. for costume fun, snacks, and a library-wide Nerf battle!
Our Fall session of Baby Time comes to an end Monday, October 27, so join us for one last morning of songs, nursery rhymes, and play at the Solon Community Center at 9:30 a.m. followed by free entry to Tot Time for more play time in the gym.
November brings our Fall session of Drawing Club for 4th-8th graders. Register for this four-week workshop where we’ll learn how to draw fantasy creatures. Each week we’ll learn a new drawing skill or technique, enjoy free drawing time, and a snack. Mondays in November from 3:45-5:00 p.m. Registration is required.
Fun For All Night returns Saturday, November 8!
Join us at the Solon Community Center for gym games at 6:00 p.m. and the movie, Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken [PG], at 7:00 p.m. Don’t forget your blankets or chairs to get comfy in the gym for the movie! This free night of fun for all-ages is brought to you in partnership with Solon Recreation. Join us on the second Saturday, November through April, for Fun For All Night.
Library Access
Regular Library hours are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Closed Sundays. Please always refer to our website calendar or call to check hours as weather may impact our ability to be safely open.
The Library will be closed Friday, October 24, for an all-day staff training session.
The Library’s community meeting room is a polling place Tuesday, November 4. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. The Library will be open regular hours, 9:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. There will be no library programs.
