167 girls from preschool through 5th grade performed as cheerleaders during halftime of the frosh-soph game Friday, October 3 under the direction of the JV and varsity cheerleaders.
167 Solon girls from preschool through 5th grade shook, shouted, and jumped as they took over the football field Friday evening (October 3) for the 2025 Spartan Cheer Champ.
The event, the largest fundraiser for the junior varsity (JV) and varsity cheerleaders, consisted of a two-hour practice session the day before and an hour of practice (both led by the JV and varsity squads) before taking the field during halftime of the frosh-soph football game on Homecoming Night. The cheerleaders, with coaches Kashi Griffith and Elizabeth Rohner, rely on the event and generous donations from the Solon Beef Days Committee for funding.
