CEDAR RAPIDS — The varsity Little Hawks placed third in Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s Cougar swimming invitational Saturday, Sept. 27 with 294 points behind champion Iowa City West High/Liberty High’s “Trojan-Bolts” (483) and runner up Johnston (396).

Solon’s Madelyn Elkins was 16th in the 100-yard butterfly (1:19.28) and 17th in the 200-yard individual medley (2:43.20) while Irelynd Hagarty accrued 251.70 points for tenth place in one-meter diving.
