Friday night Solon American Legion Stinocher Post 460 members stood with their brothers from Mount Vernon American Legion Hahn Howard Post 480, the Solon High School Marching Band played patriotic tunes, the sophomore football team carried a 35’ long American Flag, and the student section was decked out in red, white, and blue attire.
It was Armed Forces Night in Solon, a tribute to those who have, and do, sworn the oath and worn the uniform of our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Space Force.
Students dressed in red, white, and blue, and other patriotic attire swarm the field after the 35-20 varsity football win over archrival Mount Vernon Friday, Sept. 12 on Armed Forces Night.
