CEDAR RAPIDS — Iowa City High’s junior varsity (JV) and varsity girls swimming and diving team opened the 2025 season Tuesday, August 26 at Cedar Rapids Kennedy falling 103-83.
Solon’s Maddie Elkins, Ella Pressler, Avery Feuerbach, and Ireland Hagarty are swimming with City High this season.
Feuerbach, a freshman, won the JV 100-yard backstroke in 1:20.05 and was second in the JV 200 individual medley (IM) in 2:57.38. She also led off for the 2nd place JV 200 freestyle relay with Malorie James, Nora Langfitt, and Vivian Gustafson for a total time of 2:25.59.
