Solon American Legion Auxiliary recognized at State Convention

(From left) Kathy Hirl – Unit Historian, Patti Mullnix – Unit President, and Linda Linderbaum – Education Chair, attended the 104th annual Department Convention of the Iowa American Legion in Des Moines last month and brought home three awards.

DES MOINES – The 104th annual Department Convention of the Iowa American Legion was held July 18-20 in Des Moines. During the convention, the Solon Auxiliary was recognized in three areas.

Education: Most Outstanding Unit Education Program 2024-2025, in which Solon Post 460 was awarded as one of the top units in the Department of Iowa Education Program.

Historian: Historian Scrapbook was awarded 1st Place to American Legion Auxiliary Solon Unit 460.

Children & Youth Programs: Stinocher Post #460 was presented a Certificate of Appreciation for their active participation with the Children & Youth Programs.

The Legion Auxiliary is always looking for new members.
