Solon’s Main Street got a new addition in late April and celebrated it with Vision Center P.C.’s grand opening Tuesday, Aug 5. Led by Dr. Ian Hui and Dr. Sean O’Neil, the vision center is open 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
“Vision Center PC has a reputation for providing compassionate, personalized care, and we’re really thrilled to see their expansion here in the Solan community,” Jason Schrock, Director of Development & Investor Relations for Greater Iowa City, Inc, said during the ribbon cutting speech.
Besides the actual ribbon cutting, guests were treated to a variety of drinks, appetizers, candy, cookies, and more.
“It’s a beautiful facility inside,” said Solon Mayor Dan O’Neil. “It’s great to have the vision center here in Solon and provides another service that we need in town. It enables our folks to come get great care, great service here without leaving the city.”
Solon City Administrator Cami Rasmussen agreed and said that the community is excited for the addition to Main Street.
“We have the luxury of being close to a lot of metro areas, but we also have the need to have those services here in our community,” said Rasmussen. “We’re happy to have our Main Street space filled, and with a business that’s really service oriented and intended to be here for a long time.”
Vision Center P.C. offers a variety of services, including routine eye exam, contact lens fittings, pink eye and glaucoma treatment, lazy eye therapy, and more.
“We want to help you see the best in your world, whether that’s managing and diagnosing ocular diseases, or even just helping you pick out that perfect pair of glasses,” Dr. Hui said. “We’re also well aware that healthy vision is a lot more than just eyesight. It’s about quality of life, and quality of life is exactly what Solon is building here today and every day.”
