The Iowa Girls Coaches Association (IGCA) recently announced the 2024 recipients of All-State, All-District and Academic All-State honors for soccer with three Solon student athletes recognized.
Audrey Heineman and Rose McAtee received Class 1A Northeast District All-District honors.
Heineman, a sophomore, was Solon’s goalie this season with 31 goals allowed and 67 saves in 1,330 minutes in goal.
McAtee, a junior forward, led Solon with 13 goals in 15 games played (starting in 13).
Tatum Holtkamp, a senior, earned Academic All-State recognition. To be nominated an athlete must be a senior and meet two of the following three criteria: a cumulative GPA of 3.75 and an ACT score of 27 or higher (1200 or higher SAT) or rank in the top 20% of their class.
The Lady Spartans finished the season 4-6 in WaMaC East competition and 8-8 overall.
