SOLON — The varsity boys moved to 5-1 last week with four consecutive wins and welcomed a brand new scoreboard to Spartan Stadium. The old board, funded entirely by Bob and Glenda Eubanks and family, had been up for 20 seasons. As renovations continue at the field, the Solon Area Community Foundation (SACF) and Washington County Riverboat Foundation (WCRF), along with a generous private donation through the SACF provided the funds for the new board.
Tuesday’s doubleheader in Mount Vernon was initially postponed to Wednesday, May 22, then postponed again to Wednesday, May 29 (after this edition had gone to print).
