AMANA — Only four strokes decided a WaMaC dual meet between the varsity Solon Spartans and Clear Creek Amana (CCA) Monday, April 22 at the Amana Colonies Golf Course as Solon edged the Clippers 166-170. CCA’s Tyler Evans took medalist with 39 topping Solon’s Isaiah Zoske (39) by card back. Jack McCarty carded 40 for third on the leaderboard, Cole Buffington had 43, Brennan Heesch shot 44, with Jack Irwin and Brady Evers putting up 50 and 52 through the nine-hole afternoon.
As of Wednesday, April 24 Zoske led the state with a nine-hole low score of 29, a nine-hole average of 34.25, and tied for second with Chase Jahde of CAM (Class 1A) and Roman Roth of Washington with an 18-hole low of 67.

Qualifying teams advance to Waverly Municipal Golf Course Monday, May 13 for a 3A District (State Qualifying) Meet. Team and individual qualifiers from District meets advance to the 2024 IHSAA State Golf Championships, set for Monday and Tuesday, May 20 and 21 at Veenker Golf Course in Ames.
