If you drive, you’ve likely seen someone in a vehicle around you trying to multi-task behind the wheel. Your most important job behind the wheel is to pay attention to your driving. While that might seem a little boring, especially on a route you take every day, your life and the lives of those around you count on your ability to pay attention.
You may think you can do more than one thing at a time, but no one is a good multi-tasker behind the wheel. Driving takes all of your attention:
• Eyes on the road
• Hands on the wheel
• Mind on the task of driving
Being distracted in any one of these three can be risky. Combining them can be catastrophic.
