SOLON — Isaih Zoske set a new Solon High School boys golf record last Monday (April 15) with 29 as the Spartans swept the Independence Mustangs at the Lake MacBride Golf Course.
The varsity boys defeated the Mustangs 151-165 led by medalist Zoske and runner-up Jack McCarty (38). Brennan Heesch carded 41 with Gehrig Turner, Nick Stahle, and Jack Irwin shooting 43 apiece.
The JV boys beat the Mustangs 168-175 led by Garret Stebral and Cole Buffington (41) followed by Tyler Greazel (42), Brady Evers and Jackson Messenger (44), and Nolan Seagren (46).
Brent Werner (41), Grant Gordon (42), Teague Wiliams (43), Abe Houtakker (47), Brady Wick (51), and Charlie Karam (57) also hit the links in JV competition.
