SOLON — The Lady Spartans improved to 4-4 on the season with a pair of road wins last week over Williamsburg and South Tama.
Solon shut out the Williamsburg Raiders 4-0 last Thursday with a pair of goals from Sofia Ortega and one apiece by Rose McAtee and Elena Swan. McAtee took five shots at the Raiders’ goal with three by Swan, two from Ortega, and one each by Delainey Durr, Addi Greene, Sophia Link, Laney Johnson, and Valerie Miller. Audrey Heineman only had to make one save in 80 minutes in the goal.
Rose McAtee led Solon with four goals Friday against South Tama in an 11-1 blowout win. Addi Greene added three goals with two from Ortega and one each by Silvie Hendricks and Sofia Link. Audrey Heineman made two saves in the match.
