Dear Library Supporter,
We want to inform you about a recent fundraising fraud that has occurred concerning the Solon Public Library’s summer reading program. It has come to our attention that an unauthorized individual or group is soliciting funds using our library’s name, without our permission. We urge you to be cautious of any unknown people making requests for donations related to the summer reading program. If you believe you have experienced this, please contact the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department non-emergency line at 319-356-6800 to report the incident.
The Solon Public Library will never ask for donations through third parties or unfamiliar channels, we always begin by sending a letter directly to you via US mail and follow up with phone calls. If you have concerns about verifying a staff member’s identity, please ask to see their identification or view staff photos on our website.
If you’d like to support our summer reading program, please work with the library directly by contacting us at 319-624-2678 or email [email protected]. We greatly appreciate your continued support in helping us provide a safe and enriching environment for our community. Thank you.
Sincerely,
