IOWA CITY — The varsity Lady Spartans won Regina Catholic’s quad last Monday (April 8) at the Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City with 192. Lisbon took the runner up with 201, West Liberty totaled 229 while the host Regals did not field a complete team.
Sydney Dee medaled with 44, Mya Miller carded 48, and Jaya Farlinger, Izzy Frees, and Rylie Greazel shot 50 each. Bailey Woolley shot 56 on the day.
Wednesday (April 10) found the ladies at Stone Creek Golf Course in Williamsburg for the rescheduled Lady Raider Invitational where they took second. Williamsburg won with 348 to Solon’s 365. Clear Creek Amana (367), Mid-Prairie (370), Anamosa (394), Benton Community (395), Calamus-Wheatland (440), Vinton-Shellsburg (442), and Marion (523) rounded out the field of competitors.
Dee again led Solon, this time tying for third on the leaderboard with Williamsburg’s Mallory Jones and Clear Creek Amana’s Brooklyn Lee with 87. Greazel carded 92, Miller and Frees shot 93, Farlinger had 95, and Woolley carded 103 for the 18-hole course.
