Start gathering your team, Trivia Night is Friday, April 26 at 6:30 p.m. Trivia Night at the Library is unlike any other Trivia you’ve been a part of. Teams (max of six players) can visit the Library early (or place holds before Noon on the 26th) to check out up to five books for reference during play! This general theme trivia consists of four rounds, each with ten questions. Teams will want to arrive a few minutes early to get settled as play begins promptly at 6:30 p.m. Bring snacks to share with your team and make it a fun evening out! The Friends of the Library will host the annual Solon Area Garage Sales, Friday, May 31 and Saturday, June 1. Registration forms will be available on our website beginning Monday, April 8 and must be completed by Monday, May 20. New this year, garage sale registration is completed via online form, while payments must be dropped off at the Library. If you don’t have access to the form at home, we are happy to help you on a computer at the Library.

Whether you consider yourself a skilled fiber artist, novice, or are looking to learn, you’ll enjoy KNIT-LIT, a fiber art themed book club. We meet the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the Library’s community meeting room. Members typically bring their work-in-progress while chatting about the latest book. Visit the Library to pick up a copy of the April book, The Knitters Book of Yarn: the ultimate guide to choosing, using, and enjoying yarn by Clara Parkes. All skill levels are invited – join us!
Our seasonal program for littles 0-24 months and their caregivers is Baby Time. Baby Time will take place Tuesday mornings at 9:15 a.m. in April. Join us as we share nursery rhymes, sing songs, read books, and enjoy free play with age-appropriate toys. Older siblings are always welcome, we look forward to sharing this bonding time with you and your littles.
Make your own Lotus Lantern and learn about the Lantern Festival at our Lotus Lanterns program on Thursday, April 4 at 4:00 p.m. This program is for teens and adults (6th grade and up), registration is required as materials are limited. The Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project (KSCPP) will teach participants step-by-step how to make a lotus flower lantern using colored paper and a pre-made wireframe via live stream. There will be a presentation about the lotus and the lantern festival in Korea, and a short documentary on Korea at the end of the program. Our final Fun For All Night program of the season will be Saturday, April 13. Join us at the Solon Community Center for gym games at 6:00 p.m. and in the auditorium at 7:00 p.m. for the movie Wish [PG] and popcorn. This program is fun for all and brought to you in partnership with Solon Recreation.
