GRINNELL — As the short indoor track and field season neared its end the WaMaC Conference meet was held Tuesday, March 19 at Grinnell College.
The Lady Spartans set a new meet record as Mia Stahle, Mia Duckett, Aly Stahle, and Gracie Federspiel won the distance medley relay in 4:26.19 breaking the previous record of 4:29.19 set by Benton Community in 2001. Aly Stahle, Duckett, Piper Stahle, and Federspiel won the 4×200 in 1:49.89.
Aly Stahle took second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.95 seconds with Mia Stahle .03 seconds behind her for third while Anna Quillin was second in the 400-meter dash in 1:06.12.
Ava Rolwes, Falyn Svalstad, Ella Sheeley, and Jillian Elijah were third in the 4×800 in 10:54.58.
Fourth place finishes went to Lilly Towne in the high jump (4-10) and Trea Eidahl in the 400 dash (1:10.14).
Fifth place finishes went to Abigail Felton in the shot put (33-7.50), Marin Ashbacker in the 60-meter dash (8.57), and Jerzey Haluska, Grace Hoeper, Ava Rolwes, and Svalstad in the 4×400 (4:26.75).
Kate Shafer took sixth in the shot put (33-02), Sophia Miles was seventh in the high jump (4-6), Piper Stahle was seventh in the 60 dash (8.61) and 200 dash (29.02), and Sydney Dee was seventh in the 1500 run (5:29.02). Dee finished eighth in the 800 run (2:45.00) with Marin Ashbacker, Avery Kellen, Bella Jedlicka, and Jerzey Haluska taking eighth in the 4×200 (1:56.59). Hoeper was ninth in the 200 dash (29.17), Zoey Grimm took 12th in the 200 dash (29.77) with Jillian Elijah, Mya Fordice, Olivia Bonnema, and Kalynn Timmons finishing 12th in the 4×400 (4:40.63).
Reese Grimm was 13th in shot (30-5.50), Joli Sinnwell was 14th in the 1500 run (6:01.48), Kellen was 15th in the 200 dash (30.33), Cydney Jaster was 18th in the hurdles (10.90) while Zoey Grimm was 19th (11.03) and Trea Eidahl was 21st (11.06). Lucy Miller was 23rd in the 60 dash (9.02) with Bella Jedlicka 28th (9.14) and Britta Elijah 30th (9.15). Sophia Miles was 19th in the 1500 run (6:32.91), Britta Elijah was 26th in the 200 dash (31.40), and Maddy Bogard was 26th in the 800 run (3:07.20).
