IOWA CITY — The League of Women Voters of Johnson County (LWVJC) will host the third and final legislators forum for the 2024 Legislative session Saturday, March 30 at the Iowa City Senior Center located at 28 South Linn St. in Iowa City. The forum will focus on public safety and offers constituents an opportunity to hear from their state lawmakers and ask them questions directly. The first forum was held Jan. 27 with a focus on education and the second was held Feb. 24 with a focus on healthcare. Recordings of both forums are available on the LWVJC website (www.lwvjoco.org) and City Channel 4 (www.citychannel4.com) websites.
The forum, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., is open to the public. League members will moderate the forum and accept questions from the audience.
All Johnson County state legislators: Senator Dawn Driscoll, Senator Zach Wahls, Senator Janice Winer, Representative Heather Hora, Representative Dave Jacoby, Representative Elinor Levin, Representative Amy Nielsen, Representative Brad Sherman, and Representative Adam Abner, have been invited to attend.
