WATERLOO — Carson Reid, a Solon junior bowling for the Iowa City High Little Hawks, wrapped up the 2023-24 season with a tenth-place finish with 690 pins (225-239-226) in the Class 3A State Individual Tournament Tuesday, Feb. 20 at Cadillac Lanes in Waterloo. Reid qualified with a sixth-place finish (4,334 total pins) in a qualifying meet Feb. 13 at Rose Bowl in Muscatine. City High’s Will Hand also qualified for State and finished 17th with 652 (233-241-178).
Reid was named to the Iowa High School Bowling Coaches Association’s 2024 Class 3A All-District 1st Team and All-State 2nd Team.
Trendon Walker, a sophomore, also attends Solon High School and bowls for the Little Hawks. Walker placed eighth at the qualifying meet with 4,204 total pins.
