IOWA CITY — In an effort to connect businesses with elected representatives, Greater Iowa City, Inc. (Greater IC) is hosting a series of three legislative forums (the first was held last Friday) focused on topics that impact local businesses, regional workforce, and the community. At each forum, a panel of area experts will share their perspective followed by updates from legislators about relevant policy discussion happening at the State Capitol. Attendees can connect with legislators individually after the presentation.
“We’re excited to take a deep dive into important topics through our legislative forums,” said Mackenzie DeRoo, Senior Director of Advocacy. “We know these issues impact businesses and that they have a valuable role to play in partnership with government. These forums are a great opportunity to learn and collaborate.” All are invited to attend. Greater IC has an inclusive membership model, welcoming all business leaders and business interests. Registration for each forum is available at www.greateriowacity.com.
