Mount Vernon’s MaciAnn Stoner (190) and Ashlynn Carter-Shook (155) won by forfeit.
“Tonight wasn’t the outcome we were looking for,” said Coach Jake Munson. “This dual came down to several toss up matches that we didn’t compete as well as we are capable of. That can be frustrating but the good thing is we have our post-season starting with the WaMaC Conference meet and we’ll look to get back on track there. We wrestle on Friday at Super Regional 6 at the Alliant Powerhouse in Cedar Rapids. There are 25 teams competing in our Super Regional and the top four finishers from each weight class will move onto the State Tournament In our program, we try to focus on the process and not the results. If we go into Friday focused on wrestling to our very best, I’m confident the results will take care of themselves.”
