SOLON — The Solon Spartan Archery Team had a busy weekend as they hosted their largest (to date) home tournament Saturday, and the annual “Battle of the Orange” Sunday, both at the high school.
Saturday’s tournament brought seven teams and a total of 602 archers plus something new – Solon’s first 3-D range featuring six targets: turkey, coyote, bear, deer, antelope, and a ram.
The Middle School team took first place in both the traditional Bullseye competition and the 3-D range while the High School team took second at Bullseye and third in 3-D.
