The Iowa Girls’ Coaches Association (IGCA) released their 2023 All-District and All-State Volleyball teams Sunday, Nov. 13 with Solon’s Grace Erwin selected to the Class 3A Northeast All-District Team and the 3A All State 4th Team.
Erwin, a junior, produced 186 kills (third in kills for the team), with 37 assists and tied with sophomore Jozie Lahr with a team-high 47 solo blocks. Erwin made 69 block assists as well in 32 matches (and 80 sets) this season.

Grace Erwin (4) launches a kill shot Thursday, October 19 at the Tipton Tigers in a Class 3A Region 8 semifinal match. Erwin led Solon with 14 kills, second only to Tipton’s Avary Calonder, who produced 16.
