Find Your Voice with the summer reading program at the Library. The Summer Reading Program is for everyone! We have programs for every reader, from babies to kids to teens and adults. Slips can be turned in anytime during the summer starting June 1st and the final deadline is Monday, July 31st. Pick up a program brochure, reading logs, and calendar to plan your summer fun!
Did you know the Solon Public Library offers a streaming service? Using your Solon Public Library card, you can access over 30,000 films with Kanopy. The diverse collection offers Hollywood Blockbusters, timely films, documentaries, and kids content. With easy-to-use apps available on your favorite device(s), including smart TVs, you can enjoy this amazing collection anytime!

Join us on the Library patio Saturday, June 24th at 10:30 a.m. to hear from the Solon Volunteer Fire Department about summer fire safety and see a fire truck (or two) up close!
Join us Tuesday mornings at 10:30 for Storytime! We’ll share songs, books, and games with friends and caregivers. Our next Family Storytime will be Saturday, July 8th at 10:30 a.m. We also continue to share Digital Storytime with you, anytime on your favorite device! Teens (incoming 6th-12th graders) can enjoy Teen Tuesdays at 2 p.m. with special activities each week, just for teens! Teen Tuesdays will run from June 6th through July 25th, no program on July 4th.
Kids Connect (incoming 1st-5th graders) is each Thursday at 2 p.m. Weekly kids activities that encourage kids to find their artistic voice, their scientific voice, their playful voice. Kids Connect will run June 8th through July 27th, no program on July 6th.
The benefits of chair yoga continue to amaze us all! Patrons have remarked about increased range of motion, improvements to quality of life, and enjoyed the social interaction. You can join us to see what the fuss is all about! Mondays at 12:30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 10 a.m. Please note the class size is capped at 25 to allow adequate space and optimal instruction.
Teens in 6th-12th grades: Join the fun of the 2023 Teen Reading Challenge in three easy steps. Read a book, fill out the Google form, and claim a prize! Each participant is entered to win an Amazon Fire Tablet for each form completed. Pick up a bookmark to keep track and complete the challenge by the end of the year. This challenge is in addition to the Summer Reading Program — be sure to complete the Google form!
Library Access
Regular Library hours are Monday-Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Closed Sundays.
The Library is open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 23rd to allow time for staff in-service.
