The Solon Tri-Township Fire Department will host an open house Sunday, June 11 at the new fire station, 400 Windflower Lane.
The firefighters, all-volunteer, moved into the building back in December and hosted their annual pancake breakfast during the Memorial Day weekend. However, this will be the first opportunity for the public to see all areas of the facility.
The doors open at 10:30 a.m. with tours of the building. A brief ceremony will be held at 11:30 with lunch (provided by Bridge Bank) served starting at Noon. Pork burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, other assorted eats, and dessert from the Eat Shop will be on the menu.
As with the recent pancake breakfast, parking will be available at LITE Window & Doors, Elite Fitness, Pet Health Center of Solon, and the Solon Learning Academy.
The event is expected to wrap up at 1:30 p.m.
