Griffin Showalter, son of Kylie and Charles Showalter, brought his favorite fire truck to the Solon Firefighter’s Breakfast.
SOLON — 2,547 were served at this year’s Solon Firefighter’s Breakfast. The event, a tradition since 1963, was held in the new fire station. An open house will be held Sunday, June 11 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. with a short program and lunch (courtesy of Bridge Bank) served at noon.
The breakfast serves as a fundraiser for unbudgeted expenses throughout the year and also provides the firefighters with an opportunity to meet the public in a pleasant, non-emergency setting.
