WAVERLY — Jack McCarty scored 68 to lead the varsity boys to a Class 3A District Golf Championship Monday, May 15 at the Waverly Municipal Golf Course. Isaiah Zoske and Brennan Heesch took third and fourth with 74 each through the 18 holes. Sean Stahle and Mac McCarty tied for tenth with 79 and Quinton Heineman was 21st with 87.
The win advanced the Spartans to the Class 3A Tournament Monday and Tuesday, May 22 and 23 at Veenker Memorial Golf Course in Ames.
