MOUNT VERNON — The varsity Spartans notched yet another golf meet victory Tuesday, April 25 as they won Mount Vernon’s quad meet at the Kernoustie Golf Club with 144. West Delaware was second with 155, the host Mustangs totaled 165, and Vinton-Shellsburg had 169 on the day.
Isaiah Zoske medaled with 34 while Mac McCarty was runner up with 35 after the nine holes. Jack McCarty (37), Sean Stahle (38), Brennan Heesch (40), and Quinton Heineman (42) rounded out the Solon varsity.
Zoske, a sophomore, was leading the state with a nine-hole average of 35.17 according to the online stats site Bound.
