The Solon Spartan Trapshooting team braved the cold, windy, and wet conditions to shoot at Wilton trap meet Saturday, April 22. At one point, sleet and hail were pounding on the freshmen shooters.
Medals were earned by Morgan Bleeker for intermediate female singles and freshmen Allanah Mahoney in JV female singles and handicap. Freshmen boys Caden Stull, Allen Shima and Kasey Craig achieved first, second, and third respectively in JV male singles. Also, Stull and Shima received first and second in JV male handicap and doubles.
On varsity, Ryan Bilskie earned 2nd in doubles after he was defeated by Cole Henning of Wilton for the second week in a row.
Next up the team will compete this Saturday at the Clinton County Fairgrounds for the Bettendorf meet.
