SOLON — The varsity girls soccer team defeated WaMaC West’s South Tama and the River Valley Conference’s Mid-Prairie but fell to the Mississippi Valley Conference’s Liberty High.

Morgan Link, a senior, bombed the Trojans’ goal six times to lead the Lady Spartans to victory Monday, April 17 at home. Tali Radcliffe, a junior, and senior Georgia Havlicek put in two goals each with one from junior Grace Yetley. Sophomore Addi Greene and junior Gabby Knipper were credited with one assist apiece. Keeper Alex Paisley, a senior, had an extremely uneventful time in the goal with none allowed, and no saves recorded.
Solon 7, Mid-Prairie 0
The second shut-out win of the week came at home Thursday, April 20 with three goals in the first half and four in the second to dip the Golden Hawks to 5-2.

The Lady Spartans and Lightning, AKA the “Bolts,” tangled Saturday, April 22 in North Liberty in a match that was settled in sudden death overtime.
