IOWA CITY — Solon High School sophomore Carson Reid and freshman Trendon Walker, both bowling for the City High Little Hawks, earned Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC) All-Division honors for their efforts on the lanes.
Reid was named to the MVC’s Valley Division First Team with Waterloo West’s Tayvon Homolar, Cedar Rapids Kennedy’s Lucas Dolphin, Jaxon Robinson, and Alex Hume, Western Dubuque’s Nolan Vaske and Jude Ludwig, and Linn-Mar’s Calix Carpenter. Reid led the Little Hawks with 4,221 pins in 20 games with a high game of 279.
Walker and City High’s Landon Johnson (senior) received Honorable Mention. Walker played in 18 games with 3,317 pins and a high game of 255.
Solon sophomore Brady Evers played in 16 games knocking down 2,851 pins with a high game of 226.
Waterloo West’s Homolar was named the Valley Division Athlete of the Year while Kennedy’s Scott Bader was named the division Coach of the Year.
