MARION — City High’s varsity boys swim team competed in Linn-Mar’s meet with the Little Hawks and Decorah Tuesday, Jan. 17.
Solon’s Grant Bumsted was fourth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.39 and eighth in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:07.38.
District Meets will be held Saturday, Feb. 4 starting at noon. City High will compete at Davenport Central with Bettendorf, Burlington, Davenport North, Davenport West, Keokuk, and Pleasant Valley. The fastest 32 individual swimmers and 24 relay teams from across all six district meets will qualify for the State Meet Friday and Saturday, Jan. 10 and 11 at the University of Iowa’s Campus Recreation and Wellness Center in Iowa city.
Tickets for the district meet will go on sale at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 through the tickets page on the Iowa High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) webpage – www.iahsaa.org/tickets/. All sites will utilize digital tickets.
