SOLON — The Solon girls hosted Marion and South Tama County (STC) Thursday, Jan. 5 for a wrestling double dual meet.
McKenna Rogers (105 pounds) pinned Marion’s Winter Morgan (3:00), Kara VeDepo (110) pinned South Tama’s Taylor Johannsen (0:55), Alannah Mahoney (125) pinned Marion’s Kenadee Batey (2:49), Eleanor Gnida (130) pinned Batey (0:55), Addison Burden (155) pinned STC’s Abagail Chyma (1:51), Audrey Howell (155) pinned Marion’s Lucy Hangartner (0:50), Kendall Jensen (170) won a 9-6 decision over Marion’s Harper Griffin.
The ladies travel to Manchester Thursday, Jan. 12 for a double dual against West Delaware and Benton Community starting at 6:00 p.m. and will host their own tournament Monday, Jan. 16 at the Solon Middle School starting at 3:00 p.m. Mid-Prairie and Mount Vernon visit for a pair of varsity dual meets Thursday, Jan. 19 at 5:30 p.m.
