SOLON — The Holiday Decorating Contest ended Saturday, Dec. 10. The designers of the trees decided into which category the trees would be entered, choosing from: Seasonal, Book/Movie/Game, Creative/Artistic, and Nature/Animals.

Best of Show — “The Tinsel Tree” provided by Cindy Scott and Denise Miller
Creative/Artistic — “Holiday Tea” designed by Susan lee and Penny Atkinson
Seasonal Category — “Gold and Glitter” donated by Karen Martinek
Book/Movie/Game – “My Little Pony” by GFWC Solon Women’s Club members
Nature/Animals – “Birds, Fly Away Home” by GFWC Solon Women’s Club members
Wreath – “Fall Wreath” donated by a GFWC Solon Women’s Club member
Thank you to the members of the community who bid on and purchased trees and wreaths making the Holiday Decorating Contest a successful fundraising project and thank you to those who participated in the contest. The profits from the Holiday Decorating Contest will be donated to the Summer Reading Program at the Solon Public Library.
