CENTER POINT — The Lady Spartans tangled with the Independence Mustangs and Center Point-Urbana (CPU) Stormin’ Pointers in a triangular meet Thursday, Dec. 15 in Center Point with Solon and Independence ending in a 36-36 tie. Kara VeDepo (105 pounds) pinned Ella Kennett in 1:09, Kate Richards (115) won a 5-4 decision over Morgan Krall, Alannah Mahoney (125) pinned Claire Carey in 58 seconds, Alexis Anderson (140) won a 1-0 decision over Kenleigh Trumblee, Addison Burden (145) pinned Havana Griffith in 3:12, and Audrey Howell (155) pinned Laura Trevino in 3:27.
Three matches were held against the Stormin’ Pointers with CPU taking all three for an 18-0 win as Meg Düster (140), Burden (145) and Adlie Miller (235) all fell.
Next up for the ladies is a Thursday, Jan. 5 visit from Marion and South Tama starting at 6:00 p.m.
