AMES — If you are looking for affordable office furniture the Iowa Department of Transportation will sell surplus office furniture for $20 apiece (tax included) at their main complex at 800 Lincoln Way in Ames Tuesday, Dec. 13 and Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (both days).
Enter from South Oak Avenue and watch for directional signs.
Items for sale include file cabinets, tables, shelving units, and other office items. All items will be sold on a first-come basis with cash, check, or money order accepted. The IDOT cannot accept credit cards. Items must be removed at the time of purchase, and limited assistance is available to help load items, so plan accordingly.
