SOLON — Kate & Alivia Boutique, located in the historic Literary Hotel, is a treasure trove of unique women’s clothing and accessories.
“It has always been a dream of mine to own a clothing boutique,” said owner Kori Leighty. “I currently work full time as a school counselor, but previously worked for 15 years at The Gap in sales & management. I love shopping at small boutiques and the thrill of finding something unique.”
Kori, a self-described “small town gal from Iowa,” said she has always thought of Solon as a great small town with a lot to offer. “I have always enjoyed shopping and dining in Solon, and I’m excited to see the growth in the Solon community. I think it’s a perfect destination spot.” With some of Johnson County’s premiere restaurants, the Palmer House Stable events center, and the Literary Hotel downtown Solon offers many amenities and opportunities. Kori’s goal is to accentuate the unique nature of the bustling and building downtown area with a wide variety of women’s clothing that you cannot find elsewhere in the surrounding area.
“I love being able to build relationships with customers in the process of selling unique items,” she said.
