The Iowa Girls Coaches Association (IGCA) released its 2022 All-District volleyball teams Monday, Nov. 14 with two Lady Spartans named.
Senior Delaney Bombei and sophomore Aly Stahle were selected for the Class 3A Northeast team.
Bombei led Solon with 220 kills this season in 97 sets played. She was also a WaMaC All-Conference Second Team pick for the East Division.
Stahle produced 189 kills in 97 sets and earned WaMaC Recognition.
Also named were Aubrey Gates, Avery Koop, and Gracie Klima (Union, LaPorte City), Berlin Troendle (Waukon), Brylee Bruce (Vinton-Shellsburg), Chloe Meester, Kameron Brand, and Madeleine Miller (Mount Vernon), Jayden Kuper and Mia Jaeger (Monticello), and Piper Nelson (Benton Community).
Mount Vernon’s Maggie Willems was named the 3A Northeast Coach of the Year.
The IGCA, established in 1986, is the only association of athletic directors and girls’ coaches dedicated to promoting the achievements of the Iowa Girl, her coach, and all those that support them. Members of the IGCA are also members of the oldest high school coaches association in the nation, the National High School Athletic Coaches Association (NHSACA), governed exclusively by active coaches.
