The GFWC/Iowa Solon Women’s Club and the Solon Public Library are sponsoring the 2022 Holiday Decorating Contest of trees, wreaths or garlands at the Solon Public Library. The proceeds from the contest will be used to raise funds for the Solon Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
Obtain a 4 ½ foot artificial tree. Decide on a category for each tree: Creative/Original, Book/Movie/Game, Sports/ Sports Team, Holiday/ Seasonal or Nature/Animals. The winner of each category and the Best Overall will be awarded a prize.
There are no special categories for garland and wreath. The Best Overall will be awarded a prize.
Bring the decorated tree, garland or wreath to the Solon Public Library between November 11th and November 23rd to be included in the judging the week of November 28th.
Fill out an entry form and pay the $5 entry fee at the Solon Public Library.
The entrees will be judged, displayed and put up for silent auction at the Solon Public Library until December 10th.
Thus, get busy, complete the project by yourself or with a group of friends, have fun and help raise funds for the Solon Public Library’s Summer Reading Program.
