JOHNSON COUNTY — An Iowa City man died early last Saturday in a collision on Hwy. 1 at 280th St.
According to the Iowa State Patrol Riley Joseph Reynolds, age 22 of Iowa City, was southbound on Hwy. 1 when he collided with a semi trailer, which was blocking the southbound lane as the truck driver (Parvinder Kaur, age 38 of Elk Grove, CA) was attempting a U-turn. Reynolds sustained injuries incompatible with life during the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Johnson County Ambulance Service, Solon Fire Department, Iowa City Fire Department (Engine 4), Johnson County Medical Examiner, and Iowa Dept. of Transportation Motor Vehicle Enforcement responded to the accident scene.
