SOLON — Cub Scout Pack 120 and BSA Troop 120 will be hitting the town “Scouting for Food” on Saturday morning. All of the donations collected go directly to the Solon Food Pantry and help our community.
Scouts dropped off donation sacks at doors throughout Solon on Sunday, October 2nd. Please fill your donation sack and place it outside your front door by 8 a.m. on Saturday, October 8 for Scouts to pick up. For those wishing to drop off donations, we have a collection bin and display at Solon Public Library, 320 W Main Street, Monday through Thursday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
As you make your grocery lists, please keep in mind the Solon Food Pantry’s immediate needs:
Kid’s cereals – apple jacks, fruit loops, frosted flakes, rice krispies
Scalloped potatoes, au gratin, canned
Flour, sugar, cake mixes, frosting
Ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, pickles
Pancake mix, syrup
Refried beans, ravioli, meal helpers
Peanut butter, raisins, applesauce crackers and jellies.
The Scouts thank you for helping us fill the pantry!
